Planning permission for site remodelling, development of residential dwellings, car parking, access and landscaping has been granted on appeal for land east of M1, north of Ball Hill, South Normanton. On granting the appeal the Inspector said “the appellant has demonstrated how a residential development could be accommodated within the appeal site. The appellant’s ‘Parameters Plan’ identifies the extent of a developable area within the constraints posed by the existing and protected trees within the site, the presence of mineshafts within and close to the site and works deemed necessary to mitigate impacts from noise.”
Planning Prospects Ltd represented the appellant (South Normanton BH Ltd) in the appeal. Planning Prospects also secured planning permission for the same client for a 25,000 sqm employment unit to the north of this appeal site, and are currently dealing with final conditions prior to completion of that development.
